Crypto runs on hype because hype is profitable and honesty usually isn't. Most accounts calling coins have a bag to justify. Most rugs get forgotten by the next pump. Nobody's keeping a straight record.

THE TAPE doesn't sell anything. It doesn't call trades. It watches what's actually being said, checks what's actually on-chain, and writes it down — cleared or rejected, mentioned or not, rugged or not. No spin either direction.

Mentions and on-chain data are pulled through a tool built for exactly this — same discipline as everything else here: check first, publish what's actually there.

What gets researched can come from either the tracker or just being active on X — spotting something worth digging into doesn't need to come from a pull. Where it came from doesn't change what happens next: every case gets the same check, on-chain, regardless of how it was found.
The builder may hold positions in coins covered here. Coverage doesn't change based on that — flaws get reported the same either way.
